Possibly John Straw born c1807 research notes: (per Sue Phaneuf)In 1840 in Green Camp, Marion County, OH, a John Straw was there with his wife, 3 sons [b. ~1825, 1830, 1835] and 2 dtrs. Elijah Straw was in Green Camp, OH in 1850. In 1860, there is a William Strew, 31, married to an Elvina [ Melvina Lefever], with children Hermen [9], John [6] and Mary [5]. There is also a Robert Strew, 22, married to Sarah Ann Garrison [16] with 3 year old Mary [probable neice; d/o William]. Robert & Sarah married Apr 05, 1860, so I don't think that little Mary is their child. After this, this family disappears from the census. By 1870, William Strew is dead and Elvina is married to Aaron Markley [m. 9 Apr 1867] These men - William, Robert & Elijah fit in the age brackets for the children of John Straw of the 1840 census. Perhaps Cintipha Jane Straw is one of John's dtrs? Also Catherine (Straw) Tunis?
