Russell Straw was somehow separated from his wife Abigail. He was living in the household of Luke and Eliza Joslin in 1860. I cannot figure out why in the 1850 census he went by the name of Alvin D. yet. Even in a typed out family tree that my grandmother did, his name was listed as Russell.

1871 Mary married Wm. M. Curtis. She was his 2nd wife and he had 2 young sons by his first wife [who may have been Louise Weed but I can't find a marriage record] On son Frank's death records he lists his father as Wm. Curtis and mother as Louise Weed. born VT. Frank Roscoe Curtis was born 16 Nov 1867 in PA and died in 1915 in Minnesota. Wm M. Curtis also died in MN. I believe Wm's marriage to Mary Straw was brief and she married again sometime between 1871 and 1800 to Cobb and remained with him, dying between 1910 and 1919 [as Cobb claims he was widowed at the time of death in 1919]
