In the year 1891, on the 20th of August at five o'clock in the morning, before us, Paul Aristide Mazier, officer of the civil registry, appeared JOHN TIBBO, painter of buildings, born in St. Kyrans, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, on November 7, 1865, lawful son of MARTIN TIBBO, sailor, and ELLEN COLLINS, his wife, on the first part; and Joséphine Apestéguy, born at Saint-Pierre, on December 3, 1871, lawful daughter of Michel Apestéguy, laborer, and of the late Jeanne Vincente Daguerre. The couple requested of us to proceed with the civil celebration of marriage between them. The witnesses to this marriage are Eugène Cantaloup, customs employee, aged 29 years, and Bernard Perits, sailmaker, aged 39 years.
