per S. Phaneuf: Julius is the son of Daniel & Flavia Straw ; I haven't been able to connect Daniel & Flavia yet. They are definitely related to the Straws from Waterbury, VT. Daniel is usually mentioned in conjunction with Isreal Straw and was a merchant.

Straw is the great great grandson of a Julius C. Straw 1834-1903 and Rachel 1836-1923. They had a son Frank Straw 1872-1902 who was married to Carrie V Cupp. I don't know who John or Dollie are though.

Straw, aged 68 years and 5 months. Deceased was born in Vermont and came to Kansas many years ago. He was a good man and citizen and for forty years, a Mason. His wife survives him, as also three sons and two daughters - one son died last year. The funeral conducted by the Masonic fraternity occurs tomorrow at 2. El Dorado Masons and friends are requested to attend.

He leaves a wife, two daughters, Mrs George Stewart and Mrs Clara Lindsey and three sons, W. C. Daniel and Jesse."
