obit (The Bryan Democrat) 13 Oct 1904 "PULASKI TOWNSHIP Mary Straw, a deaf mute, middle aged lady, who lived alone on her farm in this community, was taken dangerously sick Friday night. She started for Mr. Christman's, one of her neighbors, who assisted her into the house. Dr. Pugh was called, and all that medical skill and kindness could suggest was done, but she died in great agony about midnight. She owned a nice home here, and has no near relatives."
