John married Sarah Straw, daughter of James S. Straw and Mary (Polly) Buswell, on 6 Dec 1811 in Hopkinton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. (Sarah Straw was born on 4 Aug 1789 in Hopkinton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire, died on 15 Feb 1838 and was buried in Old Cemetery in Hopkinton, NH.)
