This is a rather late reply to your message posted on 9/25/02 but I believe the James Straw and Caroline Tracy that you mentioned were my gggrandparents. My records show James born 10/4/1837, died 3/22/1919 married Caroline 10/11/1865; Caroline born 8/7/1834, died 7/16/1919; son Fred married Edith Lake 8/14/1905 and had Walter A., Evelyn, Avis M. and Everett Straw. I have more information on this family if interested.
James married Caroline J. Tracy, daughter of Andrew Tracy and Lavina Averill, on 11 Oct 1865. (Caroline J. Tracy was born on 7 Aug 1834 in VT and died on 16 Jul 1919.)
