Pension papers
14 Nov 1850 his son Enoch Page Jr applied for his father's pension [He was a resident of Groton, Caledonia County, Vermont and would be 70 yrs of age on 10 May 1851]..he believed his father Enoch Page Sr served two terms of Service in the Rev War..first soon after the commencement of the war [1775] and ending after the expiration of 6 or 8 mos as a Lt in Col Fry's Regt and Capt Ballard's Company [Capt Wm Hudson Ballard]. ..".Col Frye was from Nottingham, NH......not a great distance from where Father lived as he residede at that time in Haverhill, Massachusetts in the county of Essex." In 1777 he enlisted some men and served as a Captain this time he went to Rhode Island and was out some four or five months he was out in the fall of the year taht time...his Col's anme was Senters?..it was a New Hampshire Regiment.." he cited his source as a family bible and gave names of Enoch and Isabel's children as Alice, Moses, Mary, Enoch, Isabel, Sarah, John, Benjamin, Leverett and Samuel lsited in bible with their dates of birth with only four of the children surviving as of this date [Enoch, John and Benjamin Page and Sarah (Page) Wormwood
His father d. 17 Sept 1805 in Groton, VT and his mother d. 9 May 1838 in Groton, VT..he mentions his Granfather Lewis Page and his mother's maiden name as STRAW..Enoch Sr died at home of son Enoch Jr..Enoch Jr applies for pension due his deceased mother which will in turn be given to her surviving children.
