CONNORS, MARILYN O. (WILCOX), 89, passed peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2012 in her home, surrounded by her loving family and pets. She was the beloved wife of William A. Connors for 70 years and was a resident of Scituate for 54 years. Born in Warwick the daughter of the late H. Arthur Wilcox and Esther M. (Marks) Wilcox, she was the mother of Dennis W. Connors and wife Michele of Foster City, CA, Robert M. Connors and wife Kathy of New Paltz, NY and Lynn M. McShane and her husband Michael of Scituate. She was also the grandmother of Barbara Jordan, Abigail McShane, Joyce Connors, Adam McShane and Patrick Connors and great-grandmother of Cody Connor McShane, Sol Wren Jordan and Talon Rose Jordan.
She was a life-long supporter of causes to protect and care for animals. She was also a member of Women for Sobriety from 1978-1991 and served as meeting facilitator and later as a board member.
Funeral Mass to be held on Friday at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 144 Danielson Pike, North Scituate with calling hours on Thursday, 2-4:00PM and 7-9:00PM in the Winfield & Sons Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Ave., No. Scituate. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Friends of the Scituate Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 14, Clayville, RI 02815 or Women for Sobriety, Inc., P.O. Box 618, Quakertown, PA 18951.

Marilyn married William Amatos Connors, son of Michael Joseph Connors and Mary Maude Sparrow. (William Amatos Connors was born on 13 Sep 1916 in North Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, died on 2 Aug 2014 in Scituate, Providence, Rhode Island, USA and was buried in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery - Exeter, Washington County, Rhode Island.)
