Chafe In the year 1894, on the 15th of November at five o'clock in the evening, before us, Marie Lefevre, second deputy mayor, appeared Jules Eugène François Roussel, carpenter, born at Saint-Pierre, on June 3, 1872, lawful son of the late Eugène Joseph Roussel and Marie Lainé, his widow, on the first part; and LOUISA MARY FOLEY, servant, born at Petit Placentia, Newfoundland, on June 4th, 1870, lawful daughter of WILLIAM FOLEY, sailor, and MARY MURPHY, his wife, all residing at Petit Placentia. They inform us that they have one child: JEANNE LUISE JULIA ROUSSEL, born at Saint-Pierre, on June 4, 1893. The couple requested of us to proceed with the civil marriage between them. The witnesses to the marriage are Emile Poirier, dory builder, aged 38 years, and Joseph Briand, sailor, aged 25 years.
