He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Brenton and Mary Brenton; his brother John Brenton; his parents-in-law, Richard and Catherine Dober; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Haskell, Bud Slaney, Frank Farrell, Bill Smith, Alban Dober, Jerry Dober and Josephine Power.
He is survived by : his children, John (Shannon) of Halifax, NS, Cindy Brenton (Jim Mallay) of Portugal Cove and Gayle Brenton-Smith (Glenn Smith) of Portugal Cove; his grandchildren, Zachary, Mackenzie, Ryan and Nicholas; his siblings, Joe Brenton (Shirley), Frank Brenton (Denise), Earl Brenton (Brenda), Joan Slaney (Bob), Margaret Haskell, Helen Slaney and Franklin; his siblings-in-law, George Dober, Frank Dober (Dianne), Mary Smith, Jessie Dober and Betty Farrell; his wife Helen; his niece Megan Farrell; and his friends, Jim Mallay and Glenn Smith.
