CHELMSFORD -- Mary E. Wall, 83, of Chelmsford, a former longtime Billerica resident, died yesterday, Dec. 20, at Lowell General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Roy J. Wall.
She was born in Boston on Jan. 22, 1923, daughter of the late John and Mary (Bolger) Scanlon and had lived in Billerica for many years before moving to Chelmsford four years ago.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Wall had been employed at USCI Bard in Billerica. She was an avid bingo player and a member of the Billerica Golden Agers.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Roy Wall and his wife Cathy of Nashua and Steven Wall and his wife Maryjane of Billerica; seven daughters and sons-in-law, Jean Bell and her husband Fred, Maryellen Wall and Tammy Wall, all of Chelmsford, Arline Bush and her husband Jim of New York, Elizabeth Roberts and her husband Jim of Tyngsboro, Kathleen Coffey and her husband Michael of Lowell, Bonnie Bayles, residing in California, Steven Baker of Townsend and Bob Richardson of Billerica; two brothers, Daniel Scanlon of Natick and John Scanlon of Woburn; two sisters, Rene DeBattista of Avon and Bernice Scanlon of Revere. She also leaves 27 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wall was also the mother of the late Charlene Baker and Karen Richardson.
