GLENN HOWARD McCARTNEY
July 17, 1915 - July 29, 1992
Glenn H. McCartney, 77, Nevada, Mo., died July 29, 1992, at the Timberlake Care Center.
Mr. McCartney was born in Ashland, Neb., was raised in Clinton, Mo., and had lived in Nevada for the last 20 years.
He worked for the Missouri Public Service Co. in Clinton and Nevada for 26 years before retiring as a gas crew foreman in 1977.
Survivors include his wife, Violet M. McCartney of the home; three sons, Glenn H. McCartney and George E. McCartney of Nevada, and Larry C. McCartney, Walker, Mo; three daughters, Martha A. Poe and Cecilia Elizabeth Underwood of Nevada, and Georgia May Turner, Harrisonville; a sister, Hazel McNew, Cabool, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ferry Chapel, Nevada; burial in Moore Cemetery, Nevada.
