It is with deep sadness that the family of the late George Hickey of Grand le Pierre announces his passing. George passed away at his home in Grand le Pierre on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at the age of 81.

Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife Elizabeth for 62 years; sons, Edward Hickey (Juanita) of Grand le Pierre, Richard Hickey (Sharmaine) of Terrenceville, Louis Hickey of Grand le Pierre, Glen Hickey (Georgina) of Grand le Pierre, Paul Hickey (Amanda) of Grand le Pierre, and Cameron Hickey (Renee) of Clarenville; daughters, Andrea Hickey (Ralph) of Grand le Pierre, Mary Bolt (Ivan) of Grand le Pierre, and Pamela Kearley (Bradley) of Grand le Pierre; daughter-in-law, Tammy Clarke of Terrenceville; sister in-law, Dinah Hickey of Grand le Pierre;19 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Hickey (Gladys) of Terrenceville, Peter Hickey (Rita) of Grand le Pierre, Pierce Hickey (Marion) of Grand le Pierre, Michael Hickey (Judy) of Grand le Pierre; plus a large number of family and friends.

George was predeceased by his son, Michael Jason Hickey; grandsons, baby boy's Curtis and Jonah; his parents, William and Frances Hickey; brothers, Ernest (Sarah) Hickey, Charles Hickey, Raymond (Martha) Hickey, Leo Hickey and Patrick (Marjorie) Hickey; sister, baby girl Elizabeth Hickey.

The Hickey Family will be accepting visitors at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Grand le Pierre on Thursday, October 7th beginning at 6pm and Friday, October 8th all day. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Paula's RC Church in Grand le Pierre on Saturday, October 9th at 10am. Interment to follow at the RC Cemetery in Grand le Pierre.
