RYAN, Edward Joseph (1919-2008)\endash Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, Edward J. Ryan, in his 88th year, of St. Joseph's, St. Mary's Bay. Predeceased by his loving son Walter, 2003; his parents Elizabeth & Jerome Ryan; brothers Clem and wife Marie, Jim and Gabriel. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his darling wife Elizabeth (Lizzie) of 67 years; daughters Margie (Aiden Howell), Joan (Felix Lake); sons Edward (Eileen), Bill (Shirley) of Seafort, Ontario and daughter-in-law Joyce; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; sisters Nora Andrews (John Hart), Esther O'Brien, Regina (Albert Brown); brothers Larry (Betty), Alban, Jerome (Helen); sisters-in-law Gertie Ryan, Kathleen Ryan, numerous nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Enright Memorial Chapel, St. Joseph's. Visitation on Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, April 11, 2008 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral will take place 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from St. Joseph's Church, St. Joseph's. Cremation to follow. Inurnment at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood.
