It is with great sadness that the Dicks family announce that Joe Dicks has passed peacefully away at his home, on September 4, 2006. Joe was a member of The Grand Falls Chamber of Commerce, Grand Falls Rotary, Lions Club Botwood, Knights of Columbus, Bishop Howley Council, Wabush Stadium Committee. He retired from his business Central Pharmacy in 1992. Joe is predeceased by mother R. Madeline (nee Doody) and father John. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Alice (nee Pittman) of 46 wonderful years; sons Kenneth (Carolyn) of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, and Joe (Sherri) of Steady Brook, NL.; daughters Heidi (Wayne) of St. John's, NL, and Allison of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Also leaving to mourn his precious grandchildren Joshua, Matthew, Jacob, Liam, Michael, Madison, Zachary, Matthew, Sarah, and James, along with brothers and sisters Michael, Irene, Bernadette, Dominic, Margarite, Mary, Ada, John. Father David Joy will conduct the Funeral Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 11:00 am.
