ORANGE COUNTY, VA, WILL BOOK 2 Negative Reel 472 at the State Library In the name of God Amen. I samuel George of the County of Orange and Parish of Saint Mark being sick and weak in body though of a sound and perfect sence & memory Thanks be to God and calling to mind the mortallity of man and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do constitute and appoint this to be my last will and testament as followeth Imprimis I lend and bequeath to my well beloved wife Patience George all my personall Estate to hold __ __ enjoy the same during her widow hood and in case she remarries and any Im__ment of the Estate appear I nominate & appoint David George & John Ines of Prince William County Executors of this my last will & testament to take the same out of her hands for the benefit of the Children Except sufficent security be given, and in case no waste or damage appear I appoint her my whole and sole Executrix of this my last will & testament During her natural Life and after deceafe to be Equally Divided between my children then surviving. I desire that my Estate shall not be appraised during her widdowhood. Item I give to my son Travis George one shilling sterling. Item I give to my son Parnack George one black mare with all her future increase and I do hereby disanull & make void all other will or wills whatsoever made by me and do _______ and confirm this to be my last will and testament in Witness where of I have here unto set my hand and seal this Twentyseventh day of Novem. 1745. his Samuel George seal John Wharton Jane X George her mark At a Court held for Orange County on Thursday the 22 day of May 1746 The last will and testament of Samuel George was presented into Court by Patience the Executrix in the said will named proved by the oaths of John Wharton & Jane George the witnesses there to and ordered to be recorded and on the motions of the said Executrix who made oath according to law Certificate is granted for obtaining Letters of Probate thereof in due form giving security on which she with John Christopher & Thomas Newman her securities entered into and acknowledged their bond for her due & faithful administration of the said decedents estate.
