Research of James W. Straw - Andrew was badly wounded at Battle of Shilo, Murfreesburo, and Stone River. Said to have been exchanged out of Andersonville Prison - wounded and underaged. (according to John C Winters survey of 1965)

Andrew married Nellie C. Winters, daughter of Andrew J. Winters and Elizabeth Ellen Christy. (Nellie C. Winters was born on 23 Sep 1870 in Ohio.)
