John moved to Newton, NH in 1713. He was a millwright..owned and operated a water powered mill used to cut lumber, grind grain and weave cloth. A devoted Quaker. After his marriage the lived in a house built by his father in Newton, NH and located near the Peaslee Mills. He and his wife had 9 children.
