In Harvard Law School there is a book THE SUPREME COURT, STATE OF VERMONT VOL XV by William Slade publisher: Burlington (VT) Chauncey Goodrich 1844 which cites a case on pg 215: Straw et al vs Wainwrights, Addison, VT Jan 1843 It seems Straw and Cunningham purchased a stove for Straw for $38,54 and apparently did not follow through with promise of payments in cattle etc...

per Straw/Burns Bible. Family moved to Gravity, IA where Cyrus died.

Find A Grave Memorial# 41141561-Old Holt Cemetery" was given on an Ancestry page. Need this to be confirmed. No one seems to be able to find a marker for Cyrus Griffin Straw here in Holt. If anyone has further information on Cyrus' resting place please let us know. His wife Sally is buried in Jasper Cemetery in Pipestone County, Minnesota.[T Walden Aug 2009]

Cyrus married Sarah Mae Stearns, daughter of William Henry Stearns and Elizabeth Clough, on 30 Nov 1856 in Gravity, Taylor County, Iowa. (Sarah Mae Stearns was born on 22 Oct 1838 in New Hampshire, died on 6 Nov 1922 in Gravity, Taylor County, Iowa and was buried in Jasper Cemetery Jasper, Pipestone County, Minnesota, USA.)
