JOY FAY JONES
VINITA, Okla. - Joy Fay Jones, 49-year-old Vinita resident, passed away Monday, June 3, 2002 as a result of an automobile accident.
Joy was born April 17, 1953 to Claude and Mary Jane (Straw) Englehardt. She graduated from Big Cabin High School, and worked as a nurse's aide at Eastern State Hospital and Millers Cozy Home.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include: one daughter, Amanda Michelle Jones of the home; one son, Charles Lee Jones, Jr. of Chelsea, Okla.; one sister, Anita Myrick of Kemblin, Okla.; one brother, Jeff; and one grandchild, Christopher Marvin Akers.
Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 10, at the Burckhalter Memorial Chapel. Rev. Will Busch officiated. There was a cremation afterwards and burial will be at a later date in Chelsea Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of the Burckhalter Funeral Home. .

Claude married Mary Jane Elizabeth Straw, daughter of Andrew Jackson Straw and Eva Grace Haynes, on 30 Dec 1937 in Pryor, Mayes Co. Oklahoma. (Mary Jane Elizabeth Straw was born on 24 Feb 1917 in Preston, Pratt County, Kansas, died on 3 Mar 1992 in Pawhuska, Osage County, Oklahoma and was buried in Friendship Cemetery, Preston, Pratt County, Kansas.)
