LOWELL DAILEY SUN - 14 Dec 1893 "The surgeons in St. John's Hospital were obliged to take 38 stitches yesterday to close the wound in Henry Thompson's hand. He was injured by the falling of brick near the Chelmsford Street sewer."

BOSTON JOURNAL - 5 Jan 1909 "H M THOMPSON A SUICIDE Lowell - Jan 4 - Henry M. Thompson formerly owner of the Lowell felting mills, committed suicide tonight while the rest of the family were at dinner by shooting himself through the head. Mr. Thompson who was 61 years of age, had been suffering from melancholia for two years and his act came at the end of a particularly despondent day."
