Research on www.rootsweb.com shows an Abraham Melvin married 1843 or 1850 to Belinda Colby born 28 Oct 1821, the d/o Bagley Colby(1787) and Abigail Couch (1788). [Belinda's second marriage]
There is no further mention of Belinda as a wife and she did not die until 1900.]
1860 he is living with daughter Mary Ann Melvin Story and her husband and family
1870 he is living with William and Emily (Felch) Sawyer. Emily is a sister of his first wife Sarah Felch
