Yesterday Mr. Levi H. Straw, a former resident of this city, was taken ill in Boston and expired in a short time. Mr Straw left this city about 16 yrs ago, since which time he had resided in Newton. doing business in boston as a Real Estate Broker.

Levi married Betsey Jane Leighton, daughter of Thomas Leighton and Hannah Jones, on 26 Jul 1850 in Warner, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. (Betsey Jane Leighton was born on 19 Aug 1826 in Milton, Strafford County, New Hampshire, died on 21 Feb 1906 in Bedford, Massachusetts and was buried on 24 Feb 1906 in Mt Hope Cemetery.). The cause of her death was influenza; chronic bronchitis.
