AT BATTLE CREEK
FORMER JANESVILLE GIRL MARRIED ON THANKSGIVING DAY
In the presence of only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties, a happy wedding event occurred at 4 o'clock Thanksgiving afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Hill, Battle Creek, Mich., when the latter's son Mr. Charles Straw, was united in marriage to Miss Carrie Garlock, formerly of Janesville, Wis., the ceremony being pleasantly performed by Elder C. A. Hanson, of the A. M. M. college. Just previous to the ceremony, or at 2 o'clock, the bridal party and their friends joined in a most sumptuous Thanksgiving dinner, which the kind hostess, Mrs. Hill, prepared and placed before them. The bride and groom were the recipients of many fine and appropriate wedding gifts, testimonials of esteem from their appreciative friends. The groom is an efficient and highly respected attache of the Sanitas Nut Food company, the bride being an expert and esteemed typist in the service of the Sanitarium Food company. Mr. and Mrs. Straw began housekeeping at once at No. 105 Walter avenue, where they will be at home to their many friends after December 1st.
