Portland Press Herald (ME) August 31, 1995 Annie Louise Chase, 94, of Black Point Road died Wednesday at a Portland nursing home. A lifelong local resident, she was born here, daughter of Gregory and Ellen Crissey Bimson. Mrs. Chase was employed by the former Atlantic House, Len Libby's Candy Shops and the Scarborough School Lunch Program. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, the Senior Citizens, the Womens Fellowship, Engine 1 and Ladder 2 Women's Auxiliary and the Homemakers Extension. Her husband, Harold Aquilla Chase Sr., died in 1967. She also was predeceased by a son, Harold Jr. in 1971, and a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Phyllis) Skillings in 1993. Surviving are a son, Benjamin Bonnell Chase of Scarborough; six daughters, Mrs. Harold (Ellen) Sanford, Mrs. Neil (Ruth) Leighton, Mrs. Franklin (Jane) Moses and Mrs. Robert (Joan) Deering Sr., all of Scarborough, Mary Straw Elwell of Buxton and Mrs. Charles (Florence) Kirchner of Raymond; 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
