OMAHA WORLD HERALD - 2 June 1906 Nebraska City June 1 - Eleanor Straw has begun suit in the district court praying for a divorce from her husband Harry on the grounds of cruelty and non support. she asks the court to restrain her husband from kidnapping her two minor children or molesting her. They were married here in 1899.

Alias: - Nebraska City News Press Monday, March 20, 1967; page 1, column 3 BARBARA WEGNER DIES AT HOSPITAL Mrs. Barbara Wegner (aka Lena) died Monday at St. Mary's hospital in Nebraska City following a lengthy illness. The body was removed to Lett Funeral home where arrangements are pending. Mrs. Wegner was born February 11, 1872. Survivors include daughters-in-law, Hazel Wegner and Hazel Straw. She was preceded by sons, Harry Straw and Claude Wegner. Other survivors include grandchildren, Ralph, Roger, Henry and Robert Straw, Nebraska City; Harry Straw, Union, Doris Neemann, Lincoln and Sharon Born and Dennis Wegner, Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a member of the First Presbyterian church and was a longtime resident of Nebraska City.
Barbara married Harry B. Straw, son of Henry Burton Straw and Aleshia Margaret Jackson, on 3 Jul 1899 in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska. The marriage ended in divorce. (Harry B. Straw was born on 21 Jan 1870 in Fremont Co, IA, died on 27 Nov 1935 in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska and was buried in Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska.).
